
Katia is an aviation and employment law expert, advising on commercial agreements, transactions and compliance in both sectors.
She advises on the regulatory and legislative employment frameworks in place, employment contracts, pensions and compensation, as well as on fringe benefits including stock option structures, termination of employment, collective dismissals, employee consultations, collective labour agreements and industrial relations. Katia has acted in numerous transfers of undertakings, restructurings and mergers and acquisitions, conducting due diligence and advising on the full range of employment law issues arising in these transactions.
The foundations of her extensive experience in the Aviation sector are in advising on the regulatory framework, the set-up of new owning and operating structures and mergers, acquisitions and privatisation transactions. Katia has drafted and negotiated numerous agreements for the sale, finance and lease, either operative or financial, of individual aircraft and fleets. Prior to joining the Firm in 2000, Katia was in-house counsel to Olympic Airways.
Katia holds a Degree in Law from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and is admitted to the Athens Bar (1967), the Athens Court of Appeals (1975) and the Supreme Court of Greece (1981).
