Human Rights in the Information Age

Senior Associate Fotini Karra will participate as a speaker in the 3rd Interdisciplinary 'Human Rights in the Information Age' Conference, taking place in Corfu between 17 and 18 May, 2024.

Fotini Karra will speak alongside Maro Agriti on 'The Refugee as a Subject of Rights through the cinematic lens of Western filmmakers in films shot in Greece' session, which takes place on Friday 17 May. Fotini Karra will delve into the legislative framework for Asylum and Refugees as it was shaped during the 20th century and after the recent crisis.

The Conference focuses on Human Rights and Information, in terms of history, law, ethics and culture and is organised by the Ionian University, the UNESCO Chair of Ionian University on Threats to Cultural Heritage and related Cultural Heritage activities, the Corfu Bar Association and the Museological Collections of the Ionian University and is held under the auspices of the Rotary Club of Corfu.
