Our Energy Team

Our practice is one of the foremost in Greece with an expertise in both benchmark and mainstream domestic and cross-border transactions. We act for international and domestic banks, investment firms and other financial institutions, insurance companies, funds and public and private companies which do business in Greece. Over the last three decades, we have participated in the vast majority of significant deals to have taken place in terms of both complexity and value and have structured and executed numerous transactions. 

The Opportunity

We are looking to hire a highly motivated lawyer to join our Energy team. We have vast experience in advising market leaders on the compliance, management, development and financing of their activities in the energy sector and our lawyers have advised on many of the major pioneering energy and resources projects to have taken place in Greece.

You will be working on advisory and transactional matters in the conventional and renewable energy and energy infrastructure industries.

You will be exposed to a broad variety of work, with your responsibilities including drafting transaction documentation, advising on regulatory matters and risks and the commercial, development and financing aspects of major domestic and cross-border energy projects and transactions.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing the energy market in Greece.

3-6 years of active professional experience in the Energy sectors is a prerequisite.

Must be able to draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts related to all aspects of energy projects, energy-related transactions and M&A projects.

Must have experience in analyzing and advising on legal and regulatory risks involved in the development and operation of energy projects, including conduct of legal and regulatory due diligence.

Bachelor’s degree in law and a strong academic record.

Specialized postgraduate studies will be considered an additional qualification.

Admission to the Athens or one of the regional Bar Associations in Greece. Admissions to foreign Bar Associations are welcome.
