We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Maria Nefeli Bernitsa to Partner.
Maria Nefeli joined the Firm after obtaining an MBA from INSEAD and 12 very successful years in London, most recently in Travers Smith’s financial services and markets team. She is specialised in large scale finance and capital markets transactions involving listed and private companies.
Maria Nefeli is a key member of our Banking, Finance & Capital Markets team and heads up the Firm’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) department. She is highly experienced in private placements and IPOs, as well as mergers and acquisitions of listed companies. Her clients include leading funds, alternative investment managers, banks and a variety of entities from the broader financial services space. She has taken the lead in significant financial services matters arising from group restructures of global multi-strategy asset managers and new authorisations of regulated firms.
Maria Nefeli is a committed contributor to the Firm’s pro bono and female and junior lawyer empowerment initiatives.
